Chicago Here I Come

"What matters is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight - it's the size of the fight in the dog."
~Dwight D. Eisenhower

Well, I finally decided what I'm going to do. I have decided not to drop out of the marathon. You guys are right. I know that even if I DNF I will be so happy I did it. Thank you for all of your great input. Sometimes I just need a good push in the right direction. I have decided that my game plan will be to run 5 min, walk 1 min. I think this will be my best bet. It gives my knees short breaks often and it will help to keep my heart rate down. I have my last big long slow distance this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes. I also want to take the time to thank Siren for sending me the pics I took at Ironman Wisconsin. I will have my spectator report up soon.

Good Plan. I think you will be surprised at how much you can do.

good luck. Sounds like a good plan. I think if I did another marathon i would try a walk/run plan.

Look forward to your race report

Yay! Looking forward to your race report and I think a DNF is not probable!
