
I have been a long time fan of the website crossfit.com and I think it's just what I need to motivate me to get back into strength training. I really like the idea of training for function instead of just for looks. It's not really designed for long course triathlon like the ironman or 70.3, but it will be great for sprint and maybe Olympic distance races. Many of the Crossfitters use the Zone Diet as a way to stay healthy and to increase performance. I picked up some of the diet books at a used book store and I started the Zone on Wednesday. I am not really having any trouble sticking to it which has surprised me a lot. I think if I can stick with it for at least two weeks I will be well on my way. On another note, my cough has finally improved the the point where I feel I can hit the gym and not have a hacking fit.
